Foxy

Opa and Oma came into town for a special night of Holiday celebration at the Fox, complete with Santa, Carolers, a Sing-along to the Fox's Pipe Organ, and a showing of The Polar Express. We weren't really sure how B would do, since the show didn't start until just around the time when we're usually eating dinner and getting ready for bed, but B did great and seemed to have a really fun time, complete with a dinner of hotdog and popcorn (he ate about a quarter of the bucket himself), and topped with a dessert of Kit-Kat (for the record, he usually eats much better than this).

Here is B sitting on Opa's lap eating some popcorn...

And Santa making a special appearance...

And B with Oma, he's wicked excited for santa...

And the group shot by stranger, I have a video of this if anyone is interested, apparently "just hit the button" doesn't always work...

Wait, did I have the Bailey's and B have the milk? Or was it....

Ok, thats better...

B was Passed around like the cell phone at christmas, but still in the holiday spirit (plus he had his lovey)...

Turkey Day at Opa and Oma's

We did a little cel-o-brating over at Opa and Oma's this thanksgiving. It was a great time for all, and B had a great time looking up to his big cousing Rece.

Rece got a cookie, B got some finger sandwhiches...

About to cause some ruccus, could you describe the ruccus...

walk it out...

No, better run...

Man, you really can reach high...

Here is what Rece looks like with his Aunt...

And then Brayden with his Uncle...

I want a Red Rider BB Gun...

So I took Brayden to see santa this morning. We were there bright and early at 9am, the very first in line to see santa when they opened at 10. Brayden was a serious trooper, being a great little boy fighting his little fever and staying in daddy's arms until around 9:45 when Opa and Oma showed up to help. Unfortunately toward the end of the hour of waiting in line to see santa brayden started to get a little uneasy.

I thought breaking out the lovey right before we put brayden on Santa's lap might help, not so much...

so then I got in the pic with him and that seemed to do the trick...

I asked for an official Red Ryder carbine action two-hundred shot range model air rifle with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time, he told me i'd shoot my eye out and then did a chuck norris round house, and kicked me in my face.

If I had known i was going to be in the shot, I probably would have showered, well, probably not.

Taking Pics

So I was taking some pics of the house today to put up on craigslist for our listing and Brayden absolutely HAD to have his picture taken. But as usual, he was right, the pics turned out pretty durn good.

If there's one thing this kid loves, i mean besides getting his picture taken, its his thumb...

Last Minute Gift Idea!!!

Ok, i know nobody is in this boat, but just in case I thought I'd throw out a fantastic last minute gift idea to everyone. This gift is good for young and old, men and women, anyone who sleeps will love it.

May I introduce to you the world's perfect gift, The Headless, legless, quarter torso cuddle arm...

That's right, the headless, legless quarter torso cuddle arm. Its great for all ages. As the ad states (click here for link to actual product)...

"the Hug Me pillow provides comfort as well as piece of mind".

And who could argue with with that. There's nothing more I love than cuddling up to warmth and affection you you get from the headless, armless, quarter torso at night. And oh, that piece of mind, knowing that my special someone...er...thing is there to protect me. Imagine the look on the burglar's face when they break in and realize that you're not alone. No, you've got the headless, legless, quarter torso there to protect you.
Don't worry Gents, I've found the answer for you as well, complete with pink shirt and actual breast*...

More of a leg man you say? Well may I present to you the lower half of the magicians assistant (aka the woman he sawed in half). Honestly, I don't know how I've gotten along this far in life without having one of these beauties.

Look at how happy these guys are, I can never seem to get that relaxed when I sleep on the floor in my suit...

I'm not a marketing genius, but maybe they should consider expanding their product line to include a decapitated foot dog bed.

EDITORS NOTE TO ALL FAMILY AND FRIENDS: UNFORTUNATELY I ALREADY HAVE ONE OF EACH OF THESE, but still perfect for everyone, you know, other than me, since I already have the entire set (or roughly enough to make 3/4's of an actual person).

*not an actual breast

Oh Tannenbaum

We followed our holiday tradition this year by picking out our christmas tree and doing some decorating. Things were a little easier since we had another set of hands to "help" us out. The pictures didn't turn out particularly good (or particularly in focus), but I don't care...

Here is B helping mommy put an ornament on the tree (yes, it is a little keyboard)...

And here is B helping daddy put an ornament on the tree (yes, that is a keyboard, give B a break, it was his first ornamenting and that thing was ridiculously hard to put on)...

Baby its cold outside...

A couple of weeks ago it was just too cold to go play outside, not that would have stopped B if we had let him. So we decided to head down to the Atlanta Children's "Museum". I use quotes around the museum part because this place isn't so much a museum as a sweet playground for kids, equipped with a Bob the Builder Exhibit, Ball Machine, and Brayden's Favorite, the water feature (he was quite upset when we had to leave the water area, even though he was soaking wet, note to parents, the rain jackets don't help).

Here is B pulling the rope to release the balls...

And sliding down the mole hole...

And checking the goggles (its a little known fact that you can check your goggles for defects in the same manner as pirates check their gold)...

Here is B showing me some of the intriguing design features in the Frank Lloyd Wright homes

B practicing his Angling skills...

B caught his limit of goldfish, and mommy helps him with the catch and release...

Has brayden ever told you the "tractor" story...

ready set...

go...

If only we had one of these at the house...

The Pig Says: Chug Chug Chug

We recently took brayden down to an Atlanta Tradition, the Pink Pig. He had a great time taking the trip around the track. They actually had one of the original "Pink Pig" trains on display. It was pretty comical, tiny with chain link covering the windows. Not quite sure how the parents used to fit in those things...

It was pretty bright out, but absolutely no line (there was a huge line after we finished up shopping)...

Mommy and B waiting in line inside...

And here is a rare picture of the whole crew...

Mommy and B loading into the car...

And B actually realizing he's sitting IN a pig...

A good time had by all...

Pics from a while ago...

So I just unloaded some pics from the camera from a while back. This set is of a trip to Opa and Oma's from Late September, so not even a quarter behind on these...

Kid loves that thumb...

He had a great time pushing around his little car...

Oh, the summer was nice, but it will be here again soon enough...

Here is a pic from earlier that day at Gavin's first birthday party...

More late posts to follow...
